Help: System Scan Description

PhoneView includes the ability to gather details from multiple sources in a single action by clicking on the Scan.png icon on the toolbar.

The following table is a description of each page of this feature:

System_Scan_Page_1.png This is the initial information screen that describes what the scan does. Information is also included on the optional TVS Status that can be used to test phones.

  • Select the target cluster to scan (if more than one cluster in PhoneView)
  • Optionally tick the 'refresh' option to update the phone IP Address information prior to the scan.
  • Choose the devices to scan
  • Optionally tick the 'Gather TVS Status' to enable a test on all devices that can validate the ITL File on each phone.

Note: The Free Version of PhoneView now includes the ability to scan all phones in a cluster, not just the first 50.

Once the Scan has started a set of progress indicators will provide feedback on the process.

Note: The last action to perform is the TVS Status test, if this was chosen incorrectly you can click 'Cancel' to stop the scan.

Once all information has been gathered a short summary is displayed indicating if any ITL Related issues have been discovered.

Optionally tick the 'Generate Report' and click 'OK' to generate the 'Endpoint Security and Health Check' report.

Note: If using PhoneView in free mode an abbreviated version of the report is generated. A paid for license (i.e. PhoneView Report, Engineer or Enterprise Edition) is required to generate a full report.
